So, you’ve just downloaded SoTF and finished the tutorial and now you’re starting your first run…

And you’re probably a little confused.

We think the best way to learn a roguelike is through experimentation and filling in the gaps through experience but that doesn’t mean we want you to bang your head against the game hoping it makes sense. Ideally, when something happens in SoTF you’ll be able to examine the board, the tooltips and the event log to understand how everything fits together. Right now, this might not be your experience and we’re sorry for any frustrations while the game is heavily in development.

We designed SoTF knowing that it can be a difficult game to understand, we’re actively working on improving the UX in every release and would love your input (Bugs & Feedback ) on what would be helpful.

For now, the game manual is the best place to find information.
